Epi Kardia Christian Literature-based Homeschool Curriculum Using Charlotte Mason Methods

First Grade Daily Lesson Plans

[I was concerned about] buying the books and the price of the first grade daily lesson plan curriculum, [but found] it was awesome!!!!!! So much better than doing Charlotte Mason on my own and we tried {popular curriculum} and it doesn't compare. I like how everything is incorporated. It has been put together so much better than anything else I have looked at. The books are great, the schedule is easy to follow. If I were to write a curriculum ( as if I had the time) this would be it, but this is so much better that what I would have put together. My daughter loves it too!!!

Our first grade daily lesson plans offer you an easy to follow, clear and organized plan for studying history, science, language arts and fine arts using real, living books readily available from your public or church library or online at Amazon.com. See the books we recommend in our first grade lesson plans here.

With our literature-based first grade curriculum you do not have to worry about your child being exposed to anti-Christian bias or non-wholesome themes. We have read every book we recommend in the program and have chosen not only top-quality literature, but books that support our Christian values - and many are beautifully illustrated as well!

Our first grade daily lesson plans include weekly themes and objectives, book and supply lists, discussion questions, activities, projects, picture study and poetry - all mapped out for you in a clear, organized way.

In language arts we reinforce reading skills, memorize Scripture, poetry and the days of Creation, expose your first grader to the basics of grammar through short, oral lessons and copywork. Your student will have opportunity to begin oral narration over short readings, learn about poetry and read different types of fiction, as well as practice handwriting at the pace of your first grade student.

"I'm still using Epi Kardia and LOVING it! I added one more student this year to the mix, A.! She and I do a more traditional Epi Kardia approach, whereas J. and G. know the drill and are on something like auto pilot with the program. Thank you for your dedication to writing such a fine curriculum.  My family have enjoyed it and been blessed by it time after time.  I still share it with everyone who will listen!"

--Jennifer

"E. is in 4th grade right now and C. is in 1st grade.  I love being able to use Epi Kardia with both of them!  (And we'll be adding L. in kindergarten next year.)  What a blessing this curriculum has been and continues to be for us!  Thanks Dana and Beth!"

--Julie

"I have 4 children and we are using all 4 levels of the program. Just another reason why I love this program! It is flexible enought for me to do just what want with it! :-) "

 --Pam

"The kids and I just finished playing a '20th Century Trivia' board game that A. made after I saw it in the [Preparatory Complete Program] Epi Kardia curriculum. What a great idea! He had to come up with the idea, use history & geography to come up with the categories and then the questions, make the board, paint the board and then make up the rules. It was a great 2-week project!"

May God Truly Bless you in all you do!
Thanks,

"I am using the American Literature [high school] curriculum for a co-op starting in August and am very pleased with it so far.  I have laid out weekly lesson plans for the group so that they are reading along at the same pace and know which assignments will be due when.  It is so clearly laid out and easy to use.  I love the notes on grading/assessing the assignments and the rubrics you have provided.  I want to order a few more things real soon, so really appreciate the coupon!!
Thanks!"
